I was insanely afraid to make any dental appointment but it was truly a life-changing event. Not only did Dr. Larry Lu and and the entire team at BigSmiles Dental treat me with dignity, kindness and respect, they were patient, empathetic and accommodating to my mental health. I have never received such outstanding service from any dentist or doctor of any kind like the service I received here. Dr. Lu is an amazing dentist - I am lucky to have him! The staff at BigSmiles are always caring, kind and helpful, especially Charlene at the front desk who makes sure I get in right away whenever I am in pain. I normally wouldn't think of the dentist office as a family-like atmosphere, but that's what it feels like here! I've been coming here for a couple years and during each visit, every part of it goes smoothly. The staff seem to work really well together and it makes for a very comfortable, friendly, and personalized experience. I never end up waiting to be seen as they are always on-time with my scheduled appointments. They also never push for any treatments on me even though I do trust the dentist's recommendation.  At this clinic, there is only one dentist who has shortest last name "LU" yet he is very knowledgeable and good at all aspects of dentistry. The assistants are very polite and well-trained.  They are fun to talk to.  Dr. LU is very gentle and always make sure I am comfortable.  There is an overhead TV at each treatment room with many channels to watch. Dr. Larry Lu is an amazing dentist who is always very knowledgeable and thoroughly explains all procedures prior to starting any procedure.  Not only is he extremely personable and gentle, he is also professional and honest at the same time.  I've never heard him suggesting unnecessary dental work to benefit his pocketbook.  Dr. Lu may have slight accent speaking English but I never have trouble understand him.  He genuinely cares about his patients and has taken care of my family for a number of years.  The clinic is not big but very clean and professional looking. The office staff is always friendly and helpful, especially efficiently handle all our dental insurance claims without any issues. I found Dr. Larry Lu by chance (thankfully). My front tooth cracked and I needed it fixed that morning. Not only was Dr. Lu able to fix my front tooth, he was able to make me feel comfortable enough to discuss fixing all of the neglected dental work I really needed. I had gone years with a terrible smile and feeling uncomfortable smiling around new people.

Dr. Larry Lu has always been supportive, even when I thought I couldn't handle the embarrassment, and I do feel he genuinely cares about making his patients smile look their best.

He has staffed his office with the very best. They all are great and Nancy, who runs the front office, has held my hand through every insurance question and given me advice about what I could afford to do next. I've never had problems reaching anyone at the office or setting appointments to fit into my schedule.

I am not an easy patient, I'm sure Dr. Lu would agree, but he has earned my trust and my business. I still have some more dental work to get done and I really couldn't imagine going anywhere else. I would definitely recommend him without a second thought.

Dr. Lu was highly recommended to me through a family friend, and after seeing him for the last 5 years or so, I have not looked back.  Even though the clinic is not grand, it is very clean and professional-looking.  I've found Dr. Lu and his staff to be very friendly and capable.  They always show the upmost concern for their patients' well being.  Dr. Lu is caring, knowledgeable and approachable.  No regrets in choosing him to be my dentist.
